GYROKINESIS® method for well-being at work

In our fast-paced work environments, it's essential to prioritize the well-being and productivity of your team. To this end, I am excited to present guided Gyrokinesis-based active pause sessions designed to help your employees re-energize during their workday, as well as preventing injuries.

Gyrokinesis is a holistic movement method that combines elements of yoga, dance, and tai chi, aiming to enhance flexibility, strength, and mental focus. The Gyrokinesis exercises are practiced with a chair or stool, in a mat or standing. It is a method that can be adapted to different people, from sporty- flexible movers to more sedentary people, the method brings something for everyone. The method differentiates itself from other movement practices in that it promotes a fluid movement - instead of static positions - with multidimentional patterns - as opposed to linear movements.

Our guided sessions, tailored to fit within short breaks, provide a delightful break from the routine and promote physical and mental rejuvenation.

The Gyrokinesis Method for your company

In our hectic, always-connected world, taking active pauses at work is not a luxury; it's a necessity. These short breaks are more than just a chance to catch one's breath; they're a lifeline to physical and mental well-being. Here's why incorporating active pauses into your work environment is crucial for promoting health and and increasing productivity:

  1. Boosted Energy Levels: Sitting for extended periods can drain energy and make people feel sluggish. Active pauses that include breath, movement and stretching can revitalize workers, helping to combat fatigue and improve your overall energy levels.

  2. Enhanced Productivity: Contrary to what you might think, taking breaks doesn't reduce productivity. In fact, short, purposeful breaks can increase your focus and creativity, ultimately improving your efficiency and output.

  3. Stress Reduction: Work-related stress is a common issue. Active pauses provide an opportunity to step away from the desk and breathe, reducing stress levels. Activities like deep breathing or mindfulness exercises can be particularly effective in this regard.

  4. Physical Well-Being: Prolonged sitting can lead to a host of health issues, including back pain, obesity, and heart problems. Regular movement during active pauses can mitigate these risks and promote physical well-being.

  5. Mental Clarity: Active pauses offer a mental reset. They help clear your mind, allowing you to return to your tasks with increased focus and a fresh perspective.

  6. Improved Posture: Sitting for long hours can wreak havoc on your posture. Engaging Gyrokinesis-based breaks - which focus on spinal movements - can help correct and maintain good posture.

  7. Social Connection: Active pauses can also be an opportunity for social interaction. Engaging in group activities with colleagues can boost morale and improve workplace relationships

We can discuss the needs of your company and tailor a program for you that may include:

- A single 60 minute session to develop a small "movement vocabulary" that your workers can then apply to small breaks during the work day, or

- Weekly short sessions from 10-30 minutes to work as a guided movement break during the work day (live or online), or

- Weekly 60 minute lesson at your work place for the members of your organisation.
